I’m going through vacation withdrawals. Badly. Between this contentious campaign season and early signs of a brutal Chicago winter, I’d love to be whisked away to a peaceful and beautiful destination for a few weeks. I’d return in time to vote. Promise. There are a myriad of places I’d go right now if I could: Ghana, South Africa and Tanzania at the top of the list. However, a quick trip to Cabo is definitely feasible. This summer, we spent several days in Cabo San Lucas, one of my favorite places on Earth. We stayed at the adult-only and all-inclusive property Pueblo Bonito Resort & Spa. Tranquility flowed from the lobby to meet us upon climbing out of the shuttle. As the doormen opened the door to welcome us, the spa-like smell of lavender and eucalyptus hit our olfactory nerves in the most pleasant way. Another greeter quickly met us with a refreshing towel and sparkling wine. The hospitality didn’t cease once we completed our check-in process, but remained throughout the entirety of our stay. Yeah, I could go for that right now.
And what’s a trip to Mexico without a shot of tequila . . .
If you could be whisked away right now, where would you go?
